Virtual Summit: AI and the Future of Wellbeing (March 23–27, 2026)
IPEN is proud to partner with the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) for their upcoming Virtual Summit on AI and the Future of Wellbeing, taking place March 23-27, 2026.

Chaired by IPEN co-founder, Martin Seligman, and expert in positive psychology and AI, Llewellyn van Zyl, this global gathering invites our field to engage one of the most pressing questions of our time:
AI is transforming how humans pursue happiness, resilience, learning, and growth. The question isn’t whether AI will transform wellbeing science and practice. It’s whether we’ll be part of that transformation.
Why This Matters for Education
Across classrooms, universities, and educational systems worldwide, AI is already influencing how students learn, how educators teach, and how positive education is implemented.
New AI tools promise exciting applications, including personalized learning pathways, real-time wellbeing insights, scalable coaching and mentoring supports, faster access to psychological resources, and more.
Yet many AI systems are being built without meaningful input from psychologists, educators, and wellbeing scientists. For those of us committed to positive education and human flourishing, this moment represents both extraordinary opportunity and profound responsibility.
If positive psychology and positive education do not help shape AI’s trajectory, others will. This summit offers our global community the chance to:
- Explore the promise and the risks
- Examine ethical implications
- Influence how AI integrates with wellbeing science
- Strengthen the role of positive psychology in education systems worldwide
Who Should Attend
This summit is designed for researchers, educators and school leaders, university faculty, coaches and coach educators, organizational practitioners, policymakers, and anyone interested in ensuring that positive psychology and positive education help to shape AI’s impact on human flourishing. This conversation is important for the IPEN community, as we consider how AI will impact students, teachers, schools, and communities.
